Hi,

I like the general feel of your work, it is kinda dark which is something i always like and it feels like something pretty bad happened. So, i think you get the ambient part right.

But it is kinda hard to review on it because it's basically the same stuff with variations in the background during the whole piece. So i can't say much except that i like what you did but there is definitly a need to thing about a movie or something to go with it like you said, else it might be better to have some kind of second main theme.

Very cool!

chipdealr responds:

Thank you!

This is amazing, definitly on the level of the music you can hear in movies.

I'd like to make a bigger review but to be honest that's really good and never boring in 5 min. The beginning is a little bit Skyrimish with the "yelling" which makes it a little bit weird for me when it comes to the second part because i expect it to go all in but instead it calms down. But it's just because i remember Skyrim too much i guess.

DuttonsaysHi responds:

Hey thanks man! I actually got the idea of the "yelling" from a segment in the 'Gokaiger extended theme song'. This song was meant to be in that style with guitars and jazz brass but turned out to be a full blown orchestral instead :P. At that point I realised how "Skyrim" it really was.

Still, thank you for the review ^^

A very nice loop for some kind of light hearted video game or an animation. I really like the sounds and the way you balanced everything (like the drums which are in my opinion right at the perfect level).

Very good, i would definitly use it if i had something to use it for.

Deemo-R responds:

Thanks! When I last worked on it, it was my main intention to get everything on a balanced level, so I'm glad that it worked out! :D

Very nice i like this kind of music a lot, i downloaded it (only for personnal use) i hope you don't mind.

Lich responds:

That's fine, glad you like it :)

Great theme.

Is it a preview tho? because i feel like it's a little bit short. I mean you could easilly add some stuff to it without making it boring.

But all in all i don't have much to say. Good job.

eatmeatleet responds:

thanks. I've been thinking about making a longer version but the guy who requested wasn't making the forest level anymore. So I just kinda finished what I had going on

You have a nice voice but i think you need to work on your recording.

You're doing weird breath pauses, i'm not a singer myself but i know there is some breathing techniques, i don't know if you use it but you seem out of breath sometimes. (the part at 1.20).
Also you do pauses because you're trying to find the right chord on your guitar sometimes (or at least it sounds like it because it's out of time a bit). At 0:15 for example.

And obviously, i think you know that, you need to cut the beginning and the end when you prepare yourself and stuff. It's pretty easy to do even with free stuff.

But you have the cool voice so i think you just need to perfect your recording skills so you'll have a perfectly good song.

hhoulding responds:

thanks i will definitely try in the future, just getting use to everything

Very nice i think it fits the theme (dramatic fight) really well. I especially like the percussion parts.

I don't know what more to say i'd have to see it in the actual video game to have a better opinion but just like this i think it's done very well.

Keep it up.

It is honestly not my kind of music but still it is a very good work and i have no doubt that people liking this kind of music would appreciate it.
Like other people said i like the sound a lot, it is definitly a 5/5 on that part. The transition between the first big part and the melody at the end is very well done too. Finally i think that the music (outside of the sound since i talked about that already) is well thought.

I put 4.5/5 just because i think that maybe the first long part could use maybe a few more variations but again i'm not that familiar with Drum n Bass so it might be just me.

All in all very good job.
